History TEC Car Wash Services was started in 1986 in Knoxville, TN by John Pierce. From the beginning, John was an operator and supplier. This unique vantage point gave him insight into the needs of operators that manifests today as TEC’s fanatical customer service mentality. Rick Herrin bought into the company very early bringing TEC unrivaled technical expertise. To help their customers drive profits, the company hired Kati Pierce to develop brand and promotional programs. The company’s unique expertise as car wash operators, experienced developers, and responsive service providers has positioned them as the leading car wash service and supply organization in their trade area of TN, KY, and NC.

Growth In February, 2011, National Car Wash Solutions merged with and TEC Car Wash Service and Car Wash Technologies to create the largest regional service provider in the car wash business. NCS customers now reach into 10 states; PA, OH, WV, VA, KY, MD, TN, NC, GA, AL. The team is comprised of some of the industry’s brightest and most talented thought leaders. This merger also brings together a field force of over 30 of the industry’s best technicians and a back office support staff that is setting new standards for information and customer service reporting. Initiatives are underway for growth from acquisition and organic service coverage growth as we expand to better serve our customers.
